Forces for Fishes

Get ready to DIVE in to our first charity event for the year!

The Cool Gamer Retirement Home is going to be raising funds for the Marine Megafauna Foundation this March. As it turns out, there’s a ton of video games about fish, so there’s lots of possibilities!

We are looking for Twitch streamers, makers, and charity lovers alike to join us on this adventure, this journey, this… fishin’ mission. Interested? Contact us!

WEBFISHING TOURNEY

We are looking for participants for our WEBFISHING tournament! The rules are simple. Everyone will start with a brand new profile. You have two hours to compete. The goal is to catch fish to enter into the following categories:

  • priciest catch
  • largest catch
  • funniest catch

Since everyone is starting from scratch, there is a lot of luck (and some skill) involved. It’s bound to be a great time! We encourage each participant to stream their segment and share the link to our group Tiltify, though it is not required. There will be prizes available for each category. Physical prizes will be limited to US participants only. An alternate prize will be awarded if a non-US participant wins.

FEATURED STREAMS

The Cool Gamer Retirement Home is looking for like-minded streamers to join our lineup with a featured stream to share the fundraiser link, spread awareness, and entertain the masses with seafaring content. Whether you’re exploring the depths of the ocean in Dave the Diver, or fishing on the beach in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, or serving up seafood in PlateUp — anything fish-related will do.

Streamers can also decide whether they wish to use our group charity campaign link, or if they want to make an individual campaign that feeds into our Tiltify team. This allows people the agency in determining their commitment level. Do they prefer to set custom fundraising goals and incentives to engage their community with? Would they prefer to join in and support our existing campaign without any extra bells and whistles? There’s no incorrect way to help us in our fundraising endeavors! If you don’t have the availability to stream during our event window, you can also help spread the word by sharing our links, donating charity prizes, or even just lurking in streams.

The CGRH doesn’t have any sort of participation requirements around fundraising, channel size, or viewership. If you believe in the cause and gel well with our mission statement, we would be happy to work with you in our charitable endeavors.

COLLABORATIONS

Along with the WEBFISHING tourney, the CGRH has some other group streams planned. Reach out if you are interested in joining! Whether it’s co-streaming, sharing the donation links, or just playing along, every little bit helps.

The CGRH Tiltify Team has raised over $6,000 since its inception in 2022. The world can be tough at times. We love being able to put out a spark into the darkness with our philanthropy and feel like we’re a part of something bigger, something capable of making a difference. We raised over $2,500 in 2024 alone, and we’d love to have all the help we can get to get those numbers up.
